This post is going to be a little different than my other posts because I am going to ask you to help me write it.
Last night in our men's group we discussed who created evil. If God is all-powerful why doesn't He stop evil from happening? Since the Bible says He is all-powerful then He must have created both good and evil. Why did He do that?
With this post I would like to ask you to study the nature of God which is found in the Bible and share what you have found proving one of the following questions:
Gos is all-powerful and allows people to have free will, which sometimes leads to evil.
God is all-powerful and created both good and evil.
God is not all-powerful and cannot stop evil.
What are some of the possible reasons God allows evil to happen even to good people?
Please share your discovery by commenting to this post and back up your statement with scriptures. Next Thursday when our group meets again I will share your responses with the men.
I look forward to your comments about this subject. I can promise you that you will find within the pages of the Bible the truth about God's nature.
2 Timothy 3: 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
Our hope regarding evil is found in Revelations 21: 4 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away,".
